This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or ask us for a quote, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it plain — no jargon, no dark patterns.
Who we are
This website is operated by Alpine Driveways & Drainage Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales with registered office at Isleworth, TW7 5BD.
For any questions about this policy or the personal information we hold about you, contact us by email at hello@alpinedriveways.website or by post at the address above. We act as the data controller for the information described below.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and run this website. In practice that means:
- Contact details you provide — name, phone number, email address, postcode, and any details about the job when you fill in the quote or contact form.
- Photos of the work you attach to a quote request (optional).
- Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Minimal technical information — your device type, browser, the pages you visit and the approximate time of your visit — used only to keep the site working and to detect abuse.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. We do not buy or enrich contact data from data brokers.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and — if you go ahead — carry out the work.
- Send you the seasonal maintenance reminders and priority booking notes you asked for when you subscribed to our newsletter.
- Keep a record of jobs quoted and completed for tax, warranty and dispute purposes.
- Protect the website against spam, fraud and abuse.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: performance of a contract (or steps you asked us to take before entering one), your consent (for the newsletter), and our legitimate interests (running the business and keeping the site secure). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep quote enquiries for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you started, then delete them. Records tied to jobs we actually carried out are kept for 7 years to satisfy HMRC and warranty obligations.
Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribe by clicking the link in any of our emails or by writing to us — we action requests within 7 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information where we no longer need it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — but please try us first so we can put things right.
Children
This site is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, get in touch and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will also be flagged on our homepage for at least 30 days.
Contact us
